Self-taught artist, the eyes of David Décamp are grafted on the forest, where he was raised and then worked as a logger-pruner. At 23, an accident happens; from there, its rebirth will be thanks to art. First by the direct cut on stone and wood, then a turning takes place and he confronts all kinds of materials that allow his sculptures to respond in echo to his installation. “The important thing is to seek,” he says, “to seek is a way to transcend”.
