From April 12th to May 17th, the gallery presents in its ‘Project Room’ a poetic dialogue between the enigmatic photographs of Jérôme Bryon and the shifting imprints of Caribaï.
This exhibition stems from a residency carried out together in 2024 in the solitude of the Alps. By juxtaposing Caribaï’s paintings with Jérôme Bryon’s photographs, we will present the cross-experimentation of this residency: intimate, highly sensitive works inspired by the vastness of the mountains.
Jérôme Bryon, a photographer, works with the negative to create a departure from reality. The photographed landscapes thus become like dreamt memories slowly filtering through the mind. As for Caribaï, she seeks to bring “landscape-sensations” to life through a series of gestures that become paintings: tearing, gluing, painting, engraving, digging, drawing, scratching.
