In June 2016, Temps imparti revolved around hourglasses of all kinds. “Time-grabbers” that invaded the floor and walls of the gallery, bringing the visitor into some alchemist’s laboratory: a great cabinet of curiosity, eclectic and mysterious.
For his second exhibition at the Galerie La Forest Divonne – Brussels, Jean-Bernard Métais will offer visitors a more collected, almost mystical experience around mysterious black standing columns. Métais doesn’t try to grab the passing time, but the light and the look, through the skin of these columns that become like a transparent fishnet and seem to spin in movement as we approach.
