Lucien Hervé is one of the leading figures in architectural photography. Lucien Hervé, whose real name was Laszlo Elkan, was born in Hungary in 1910. He moved to Paris in 1929. In 1949, Lucien Hervé met Le Corbusier, becoming his official photographer. Lucien Hervé’s work and visionary eye soon attracted the interest of other architects such as Alvar Aalto, Marcel Breuer, Pier Luigi Nervi, Richard Neutra, Oscar Niemeyer, Jean Prouvé…

Lucien Hervé has received numerous awards, including the Médaille de la Ville de Paris (Academic d’Architecture de la Ville de Paris in 1993) and the Grand Prix de Photographie de la Ville de Paris in 2000.
