ART BRUSSELS 2022

For Art Brussels 2022, Galerie La Forest Divonne presents on the stand E06 Bernadette Chené (French, 1947), Jeff Kowatch (American, 1965) and Tinka Pittoors (Belgian, 1977).

The booth will build up around Jeff Kowatch’s monumental painting «The Big Assumption», bringing american abstraction together with the heritage of Flemish masters by the technique of glazing and the size of the canvas, reminding Rubens’ church paintings. Around this masterpiece, Kowatch will display his amazing colors and textures, in a dialogue with Tinka Pittoor’s fancyfull sculptures made of ceramics, epoxy and everyday objects, in a fun yet subversive questionning of major issues of our time, from the place of woman to the struggle of civilization with Nature. A few iconic artworks by Bernadette Chéné, made out of newspapers, will open on her practice, joining Arte Povera to Conceptual Minimalism and Process Art.
