VINCENT BIOULÈS AT CHAUMONT-SUR-LOIRE

Invited by the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire, Vincent Bioulès presents some forty paintings devoted to his landscapes in the upper galleries of the Château from 30 March to 27 October 2024.

Vincent Bioulès never tires of landscapes that have become his own and are always made different by the light. “Landscape has a face. The straight profile of Pic Saint-Loup is particularly difficult to draw. It doesn’t look the same if you move a rhythm or a break. A landscape is a complete arrangement of sensations that the painter perceives and the emotion he feels in front of it is due to the perfection of this arrangement. It is not a question of copying it but of expressing its internal logic”. (La Nostalgie du paysage, Musée Fabre).
