Rachel Labastie – Diseuses de silence

The exhibition brings together the works of 21 French and international sculptors around a contemporary reading of our collective history. Through works from the Villa Datris Foundation Collection, these artists bring out stories that have long been forgotten and give shape to a plural, sensitive and committed memory.

By exploring the shadows of our mythologies and the blind spots of the dominant narratives, the exhibition’s sculptors highlight the struggles still to be waged and the achievements to be preserved, contributing to stories that it becomes essential to rewrite today. The course, built around conversations between the works, is punctuated by contemplative installations and joyful staging.
