Guy de Malherbe : “Dépaysages” La collégiale Saint-Pierre-la-Cour

Guy de Malherbe returns to Le Mans to exhibit at the Saint-Pierre-la-Cour collegiate church. The Normandy coast has been a source of inspiration for him. Landscapes that the artist interprets, transforms and transposes.

The name of the exhibition, “Dépaysages”, indicates that the artist is engaged in a process of reconstruction. “There’s the landscape and what I recreate from it,” explains Guy de Malherbe.

A place of dialogue between cliff, sea and sky, the Normandy coast, with its beaches, cliffs and cornices, has inspired his work for the past 5 years. “I’ve been attracted to the mineral world of the seaside for a very long time”.
