Paintings and drawings by Alexandre Hollan, Hungarian-born artist living in France, are presented among the works of the most outstanding masters of the history of European drawing and graphic art in the field of the rep- resentation of trees and landscapes. The show Gates in Existence.TheTree as a Motif from Pieter Bruegel to Al- exandre Hollan, is on view between November 9, 2023 and March 17, 2024 in the Exhibition Hall of Prints and Drawings of the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest. The exhibition featuring fifty-four works of art includes the most important works of Hollan from his donation to the Museum beside drawings and etchings by Wolfgang Huber, Pieter I Bruegel, Jan I Brueghel, Claude Lorrain, Rembrandt and Camille Corot, as well as engravings made after their compositions.
