ELSA&JOHANNA, T3 PHOTO FESTIVAL TOKYO

Elsa&Johanna are the guest artists of the new edition of T3 Photo Festival Tokyo.

For this exhibition, their first in Japan, Elsa & Johanna will present works from their “Beyond the Shadows” series, made in 2018-2019 in Calgary, Canada. Somewhere between Edward Hopper’s iconic scenes of American modernity and David Lynch’s disconcerting atmospheres, “Beyond the Shadows” brings to life a series of characters lost in the anonymity of modern life, whose trajectories seem to constantly intersect without ever colliding.
