Alexandre Hollan “Question aux arbres d’ici” at Musée de Lodève

A retrospective of works by Alexandre Hollan devoted to trees « Question aux arbres d’ici ». For more than 30 years, Alexandre Hollan has been observing and painting the trees of the Hérault region, again and again, until he has translated into his paintings an experience that is at once physical, spiritual and emotional. He also writes, almost every day, about the meaning of his quest. Through the motif of the tree, he questions the way we look at everything: “don’t look too hard, the better to see what’s essential…”.
