Le motif et la lumière

Founding member of the Supports-Surfaces movement with Jean-Pierre Pincemin or Claude Viallat among others, Vincent Bioulès moved away from it in the mid-1970s to return to figurative painting. The deep impression of the years of abstraction is still felt in the rigor of the compositions and the virtuosic arrangement of the colors.
Before his major retrospective at the Fabre Museum in Montpellier, Vincent Bioulès is exhibiting this winter at the Gallery La Forest Divonne, from November 23rd, 2016 to January 28th, 2017. This fourth collaboration with the gallery, where he will present the exclusivity of his new works, is his first exhibition in Belgium.
