Elsa & Johanna – Les douze heures du jour et de la nuit, Château de Haroué

Inspired by an 1888 educational treatise promoting a traditional view of women, the duo Elsa & Johanna created 24 black-and-white portraits, each representing an hour of the day. In these photographs, they stage themselves and question traditional female roles. Their work blends self-portraiture, performance, and emancipation.
