Philippe Borderieux

Through the use of different mediums – painting, drawing and ceramics – which he considers complementary, Philippe Borderieux restores the atmosphere of the garden, in a burst of freshness and fertility. In a closed and reassuring space, it expresses, through redactions and overlays, the abundance of nature and its constant renewal. He thus reveals memories buried from the banks of the Loire, the place of his childhood. Thus develops a whole set of emotions and dreams, in a tamed nature, echoing the myths of the enchanted island. Philippe Borderieux, born in 1952, was a professor of painting at the Beaux Arts in Caen and at the Manufacture des Gobelins.
