How to be a painter in the era of the flow of images from the 2.0 sphere? The question applies for an all generation of young artists, that without doubt, David Lefebvre is part of. Born in 1980 and student at the Beaux-Arts School of Grenoble, we meet him again at Zürcher gallery, with a collection of landscapes, quasi- “cezannian” : green valley in mountains or pastoral landscapes, disturbed on their surface by graphic works, black spots, sheen or small pieces of pure colours. These altered paintings and images that create confusion and stir an art lag of perception, hit the bull’s eye the target.
